I am so proud of what my niece, Claire, is doing this summer. She and 25 other inspired young adults are on a 70-day, 4,000+ mile journey from Baltimore, MD to San Diego, CA – by bike! They are members of 4K For Cancer, a program supporting the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. Along the way they are raising money and awareness and participating in service projects for the cancer community.
Each day she dedicates her ride to someone; we are touched that she has chosen to honor many of our Licorice Project community members (see photos below). Talk about spreading unexpected joy!
To read more about this life-changing adventure, check out her blog at www.clairefor4k.wordpress.com, the team blog at 4ksandiego.wordpress.com or the main site at 4kforcancer.org. You can also follow her team on Facebook at 4K For Cancer: SanDiego.
Way to go Claire and all of the 4K For Cancer riders! Keep pedaling on!

Claire is an inspiration to all of us and a great reminder of the importance of being physically active not only in preventing, but treating and moving beyond cancer. Go Claire!
