Looking for online support? #BCSM, which stands for Breast Cancer Social Media, is a vibrant breast cancer support community that started on Twitter in 2011 with the words “what brought all of you here tonight for #BCSM? What do you hope to learn, gain or share?”
Since then, the moderators (who include a board-certified surgeon) have hosted a weekly Twitter chat every Monday evening from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. CT, often inviting experts to join in the conversation.
With a mission to empower people through the use of web-based and digital programs, #BCMS is a leader in bringing the breast cancer community together online.
